The Beautiful Places in Paris
Even though I've
never been to Paris, but I would like to talk about some beautiful places in Paris
that is interesting.
Paris is the
capital city of France. It’s one of the most beautiful and crowded cities in
the world. It’s also the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Do you
know how many foreign visitors who visit Paris per year? There are 30 million
foreign visitors per year. So, it becomes one of the most visited city in the
world. There are so many beautiful places in Paris. Now I want to tell you some
of them.
The most popular
place is Eiffel tower. Eiffel Tower is an iron tower built on the Champ de Mars
at the edge of the River Seine in Paris. It’s the result of a series of 18,083
irons. The tower was built between 1887 and 1889. This huge structure has
become the symbol of Paris. Eiffel Tower is a place that I really want to visit
in Paris. Do you know why? Because that tower is unique and that place is so
wonderful. This tower is light up at night.
The second place
is Arc de triomphe de l'Étoile. It is a place in Paris. In English we called
victory gate or gapura. It is a monument shaped arch victory in Paris that
stands in the middle area of Place de l'Étoile, at the west end area of the
Champs-Élysées. The building was constructed on the orders of Napoleon
Bonaparte in order to honor his greatness army service.
And then, Louvre
Museum or Musee Du Louvre. It is one of the largest art museums in the world.
Previously, the building was converted into a museum the Louvre Palace (Palais
de Louvre) which was built in 1190 and had a completion stage as the buildings
seen today in 1870. And the 1989 Chinese American architecture, I.M Pei makes
the glass pyramid as one of the three entrances.
